Guidance Officer
The Ravenshoe SS P-12 Guidance Officer (GO), Gil Jansen, provides a comprehensive student support program within the school environment offering counselling with students on a one-on-one basis or in a group setting. The GO also assists students with specific difficulties, acting as a mediator or providing information on other life skills. This role also involves liaising with parents, teachers, or other external health providers as needed as part of the counselling process. The GO can also offer career counselling and advice.
