Ravenshoe is a lively country community and we encourage our students get involved in the many events that occur through out the year.
Torimba Festival
Torimba is Ravenshoe's biggest community event and is held annually in October. The word Torimba is derived from Tourism & Timber. The Torimba Festival which includes the timber craft exhibition called the Festival of the Forests promotes Ravenshoe's heritage as a former timber town as well as marketing the area for tourists to visit. Our senior woodwork students enter their crafts each year!
Torimba fosters community spirit and unites the town and district, the Torimba parade is an example of community participation.
ANZAC Ceremony
The school holds a solemn ANZAC ceremony each year and many student participate in the ANZAC march through the main street.
BEACON Program
The BEACON program connects secondary students with local businesses.
Millstream Golf Club
Our staff often support the local Millstream Golf Club with their Social Events.
Breakfast Club
The school is blessed by the support of local volunteers and business sponsors with initiatives such as the breakfast club.
