Homework
Homework plays an
important part in a child’s education is an opportunity for parents/carers and their
child to work together to improve academic success. At Ravenshoe State School,
we promote homework as not only an opportunity for students to develop
self-discipline and independence, but also for parents/carers to see and share what
their child is learning at school.
If you have any
questions or concerns about your child's homework, please contact the classroom
teacher. When teachers, parents and the community members work together, our
students succeed.

Sound Waves Online P-6
The Sound Waves phonemic approach uses a sound-to-letter strategy which acknowledges that sounds can be represented more than one way in written form. This synthetic phonics approach focuses first on the basic units of sound in our language – phonemes. It then explores the letters that represent these sounds and how they can be put together to form written words.
Sound Waves Online for kids allows our students to access their list words, the sound boxes and many games at home. Please see your child's teacher for their username and password.
