Ravenshoe State School was established in 1912.  “From humble beginnings, teaching out of a borrowed building surrounded by scrub to a two-campus education facility that represents the growth of not only our school but also our community.  Over the years, we have had our ups and downs and no doubt we will continue to do so in the years ahead." Starr West, Ravenshoe State School Centenary 1912 – 2012.

Ravenshoe State School is a school with two campuses – primary Prep – Year 6, located at Ascham Street in town and the secondary campus Year 7 – 12, located at Moore Street, near the Kennedy Highway. Ravenshoe has approximately 366 students from Prep – Year 12.  We have a fully operational dairy which milks approximately 60 head of cows twice per day.

Ravenshoe State School is the community's school.  Many of our students travel via bus to attend our school.  Ravenshoe State School is the largest employer in town.  Our community demands high expectations of our staff and students.

Welcome to our school – the highest school in Queensland.
